about

We're very excited to welcome Mi Cosa De Resistance to the Aural Tethers roster and sonic family. A French Catalog of Tears is our second release (AT002) and the first for 2020.

MCDR is Buenos Aries musician Fernando Perales.
From the mid to late nineties, he was part of the ultra-experimental Argentinian band Reynols.
After a number of years away from music, around 2007 Fernando formed Ul, a noise guitar trio with Anla Couris and Charly Zaragoza.
In 2009 he began his solo career under the moniker of Viva La Muerte,
a prepared guitar based post-industrial project which includd many collaborations alongside Argentinian, Brazilian and other European artists.

From 2016 onward, Perales has been working as Mi Cosa De Resistance (my thing the resistance) a lofi ambient project that has been basd on sampling, looping and discovering a world of quiet sonics.
Releasing 15 albums via different labels and self releases on bandcamp since 2017.

A French Catalog of Tears is a lovely set of carefully crafted drone soundscapes. There's shifting subtitles abound over the six tracks.
An album that quickly presents itself as something to be enjoyed in solitude. Offering a comfort quilt of quiet contemplation and rest.
